Planets Da Opposite Than Universe

It is 9 a.m. on a sunny Los Angeles day, and a certain pink wigged, loud sweatshirted, Zac Efron-obsessed blogger is sitting at his pink bedazzled laptop ruining the lives of celebrities. His Tazo tea-toting assistant reads off a gamut of incredibly urgent news, for instance a Real New York City housewife has stabbed a puppy after mistaking it for a predator. Later that day, he must be seen at the week's hottest A-list event: the wake of the recently deceased Britney Spears. The audience may laugh, but this just one snippet of the incredibly important life of Perez Hilton.

“Perez Hilton Saves the Universe (or at least the greater Los Angeles area)”, chronicles a day in the life of the celebrity blogger and his thrilling life spent bitching about people on the internet and saving LA from nuclear disaster. Love him or hate him, as Perez (Randy Blair) sings early on in the show, “he writes what the world wants to read.” Although he is mega famous, with both Kirstie Alley and Barack Obama on his answering machine, Perez's rise to the middle has been surprisingly lonely. All he wants is “love, or at least a BJ.” It seems as though his luck is changing when he meets Kevin (Tim Drucker), on an X-rated dating website. Little does he know, Kevin is really Kebab, half of an Islamic terrorist duo hell bent on blowing up LA and achieving fame of its own. Shortly after their first date at the Olive Garden, Perez is kidnapped by Steve Urkel, who now works for a government-sponsored anti-terror unit, and is told he is the only person who can stop the evil plot and save the world's most important city from nuclear disaster.

After given top-notch defense training, including the ability to create a fool proof decoy (a.k.a. screaming, “Hey look! It's Mario Lopez!”), Perez must choose between “the first person to give him feelings… ever” and the city he loves. Many songs and celebrity cameos later, by the likes of Kathy Griffin, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Tiger Woods, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, and yes, even Zac Efron himself, Perez is able to put himself in the center of the action and to go down in history as the hero who saved Los Angeles.

Highlights included a diva moment by Perez's assistant, Alyssa (Dana Steingold), in which she laments the life of the assistant, with all of the work and none of the glory, a song about “shooting [a hot terrorist] in the face,” and a slideshow of images with Perez's sloppy white handwriting all over them to add to each scene.

The show is colorful and kitschy to the max, and boldly attempts to delve into the psyche of this (in)famous blogger. In this show, men want him, and women want to be him, but all Perez really wants is to be rid of his own insecurities. It suggests that Perez is the way he is because he is able to take out his own neurosis on the people he writes about. However horrible that may seem, it turns out the celebrities really need him as much as he needs them. As the closing song says, bitching can save the world.

Which are yours beloved lasagne food ?

Homemade lasagne tastes great when you have a lot of time at your disposal. However, sometimes, semi-homemade lasagne is the only option available when you are in a rush to prepare dinner on time for your family.

Green Pepper & Mushroom Spaghetti Sauce by Del Monte is just one of many delicious sauces made by Del Monte. When my husband and I were out shopping for ingredients to prepare lasagne, we noticed this brand of spaghetti
sauce that we had not yet tried. I would have preferred settling for just a mushroom sauce, but my husband convinced me to give this sauce a try.

Cost

It cost just $0.88 for a 751g (26 ½ oz) can which provides 6 servings. That makes Green Pepper & Mushroom Spaghetti Sauce by Del Monte very affordably priced.

Taste

I do not usually like the taste of cooked green peppers, so I was dubious about trying this spaghetti sauce once the lasagne was prepared. But, I was pleasantly surprised. The green peppers had been chopped up finely, while the mushrooms were sliced. I could still detect the green peppers, but the taste was not too strong. The sauce was also sweet, which I liked.

Nutrition

It is good to know that Green Pepper & Mushroom Spaghetti Sauce by Del Monte uses only natural ingredients and that it does not contain any artificial flavours or preservatives. There are 80 calories in every 125g serving of spaghetti sauce. There is no saturated fat or cholesterol in the sauce. But the sodium content is 490mg, or 20% of a person's recommended daily allowance, which is rather high. The dietary fibre content is high at 3g per serving and there are 10g of sugar and 2g of protein in each serving.

From what we can see, this is a low fat, high fibre food. The only downside is the fact that the sodium and sugar content is high. This would make Green Pepper & Mushroom Spaghetti Sauce by Del Monte unsuitable for people with high blood pressure or diabetes.

The 19th-century photographs of William Henry Jackson, A.J. Russsell and Carleton Watkins have been more widely seen, and they probably have had more infuence on shaping our views of the region. But Eric Paddock, curator of photographer at the Denver Art Museum, believes O’Sullivan’s images more honestly reveal the region’s soul.

“On some level, O’Sullivan’s pictures offer an alternate way of seeing the American West,” Paddock said, “because O’Sullivan’s pictures are not picturesque. They’re not idealized. My opinion, and I think this an opinion some other people my share, is that O’Sullivan’s photographs ring a little more true with people who have actually dwelt in the Western landscape.”

An exhibition titled, “Framing the West: The Survey Photographs of Timothy O’Sullivan,” is on view through May 9 at the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D.C. According to Paddock, it contains the largest assembly of the photographer’s images since the Centennial Exposition in Philhadelphia in 1876.

“So, for the photography nerds, it’s really a big deal,” the curator said.

Knowing Paddock’s longtime admiration and deep knowledge of O’Sullivan’s work, Toby Jurovics, curator of photography at the American Art Museum, invited Paddock to help shape his conception of the show.

In addition, Jurovics included some works in the exhibition of contemporary landscape photographers who have been influenced by O’Sullivan. Among them was Paddock, who besides being a curator is active making images of his own.

Paddock will moderate a panel of fellow photographers as part of an O’Sullivan symposium that will run from 2 to 7 p.m. April 9 at the American Art Museum. The event is free and open to the public.

People who cannot make it to Washington, D.C., to see the show can purchase the handsome accompanying catalog, which carries the same title. The 272-page book, which was published by Yale University Press, is available for $60.
